YOUNG INDIANS (Yi)
A platform for Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Social Responsibility
About Young Indians (Yi)
Young Indians (Yi) is a youth leadership initiative of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Yi provides a platform for young people to develop leadership abilities, entrepreneurial thinking, professional skills and a sense of social responsibility. Yi focuses on empowering young people by creating opportunities for learning, leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, nation-building and community engagement. It encourages participants to move beyond theoretical knowledge and gain practical exposure through interaction with entrepreneurs, professionals, industry experts and other inspiring personalities.
Yi at Our College
The Young Indians (Yi) initiative at our college provides students with a vibrant platform to learn, lead, connect and grow beyond the classroom. The club aims to bring together students with diverse interests and encourage them to develop confidence, creativity, teamwork, communication skills and a spirit of leadership.
Through seminars, workshops, entrepreneurship programmes, expert interactions, competitions, social initiatives and other student-centred activities, Yi seeks to create meaningful learning experiences for students. The club also encourages students to explore new ideas, understand contemporary opportunities and develop the skills required to become responsible professionals, entrepreneurs and future leaders.
Our Objectives
The major objectives of the Young Indians (Yi) initiative at our college are:

Activities and Events conducted (2026-2027)
The Yi Club organizes and supports a variety of activities designed to promote the holistic development of students. These activities may include entrepreneurship awareness programmes, leadership sessions, workshops, panel discussions, guest lectures, industry interactions, innovation programmes, competitions, social initiatives and other student engagement activities.
One of the notable programmes conducted was the World Entrepreneurs Day 2026 programme, organised around the theme “From Idea to Impact.” The programme brought together students and resource persons from three different zones for an engaging interaction on entrepreneurship and the importance of transforming ideas into meaningful action. The programme aimed to inspire students, expose them to entrepreneurial experiences and encourage them to explore innovation, leadership and future opportunities.
