About Our College
Patkai Christian College, established in 1974, is a premier liberal arts institution committed to holistic education.
Guided by the motto “Lux et Veritas: Light and Truth,” the college strives to nurture intellectual excellence alongside strong spiritual and moral values.
Rooted in Christian principles, the college emphasizes the development of the whole person physically, mentally, and spiritually while preparing students to meet the challenges of contemporary society. It seeks to integrate faith and knowledge, encouraging truth, righteousness, and service.
With a special focus on empowering young people, especially from tribal communities, the college aims to provide quality education that addresses regional socio-economic needs and contributes to the greater good of society.

Principal's Desk
Patkai Christian College was sponsored by two church bodies namely, Nagaland Baptist Church Council and Manipur Baptist Convention. It was established in the year 1974 in 1000 acres of land donated by Chümoukedima and Seithekema villages. Rev. Dr. Tuisem A. Shishak was the founding Principal of the college.
Today, Patkai Christian College is a multidisciplinary institution of higher education offering courses in Arts, Science, Commerce and Music with 16 academic departments at the undergraduate level of study and 6 postgraduate departments. Every year, over 40 different dialect speaking students from about 13 states of India, including all the Northeastern states, take admission in the college.
